Skate Day in Decatur May 1

The monthly homeschool skate day sponsored by NACHO is coming up. All homeschoolers are invited to attend. May's home school skate day at the Decatur Skate Castle will be this Friday, May 1, from 12:00 – 2:30 pm.

Families may bring their used curriculum to sell. We use one of the party rooms to display books. Please bring an envelope or some other means of collecting money unless you plan to stay with your books.

We also typically have a free, optional, half hour mini class for moms during the skate time. This month's class will be on low cost/no cost activities and travel ideas for families this summer. The ladies who are doing this class are real experts on traveling and learning on a shoestring budget.

We will be skating to contemporary Christian music. Admission cost is $3 (this includes rental fee) per child ages 3 and over whether they skate or not. Non-skating moms and those 2 and under get in free. If you would like low top skates or roller blades there will be an additional $3 charge. Those paying to get in will receive a free small coke. The lunch choices will be hot dog\chips\drink or one slice pizza\drink – either choice is $1.25. Here is a link to the Skate Castle's website if anyone needs additional information: http://www.myrivertown.com/skatecastle/mainpage.htm.

Hope to see some of you there!

~Pam
